Brother DR720 Drum Questions

• Is the Brother DR720 a toner cartridge?

No. It is a separate drum unit. Toner supplies the powder; the drum is a different part of the printing system. Toner is not included unless an individual listing explicitly says so.

• When should I replace this drum?

Replace it when your exact printer displays its drum replacement message or its manual directs you to do so. A low-toner warning alone does not mean the drum needs replacement.

• What is the original Brother DR720 drum life?

Approx. 30,000 pages per drum; actual life varies with use. This is a drum-life estimate, not a toner ISO page-yield claim. Actual life depends on printing patterns and conditions.

• What is included with the original DR720?

1 × DR720 drum unit; toner is not included. Check the exact product listing before ordering.

• Are compatible drum units available?

Yes. The compatible option shown above is a third-party product. Compare its own specifications; the original Brother drum-life rating does not establish its life.
