Original Brother ink cartridges

Original cartridges are manufactured by Brother. Choose them when you prefer Brother-branded supplies, and check the listed colour, page yield and pack quantity. Innobella is a Brother ink and paper technology brand used on selected genuine supplies.

Compatible Brother ink cartridges

Compatible cartridges are made by a third party as replacements for specified Brother supplies. They can be a cost-saving option. Compare the actual selling price and stated yield for the same colour and capacity, and confirm your full printer model in the product’s compatibility list.

Single cartridge or multipack?

A single cartridge replaces one colour. A multipack contains the cartridges named in its title; some colour packs exclude black. Check the contents rather than relying on the photo alone. Extra black cartridges provide spares and do not increase the yield of the colour cartridges.

Standard-yield ink offers a lower listed page capacity. High-yield or XL cartridges offer a higher stated page output within a supported cartridge family. Brother also uses other capacity descriptions, including super high yield and ultra high yield, on selected ranges.

Choose a capacity your printer supports

Compare cost per page carefully

For comparable cartridges, divide the selling price by the stated page yield. Compare black with black and colour with the same colour. For multipacks, account for the number and capacity of each included cartridge rather than dividing the pack price by one cartridge’s yield.

Page yields are estimates under stated test conditions. Actual output depends on print coverage, print settings, paper, maintenance cycles and how often you print. Check the individual product for its yield and testing information.
