Genuine Canon ink cartridge bundle. Includes 1 × PG-245XL Black; 1 × CL-246XL Tri-colour. Supplied as a bundle of original Canon products; individual packaging may vary. The black cartridge uses pigment ink for text documents, while the tri-colour cartridge uses dye-based ink for colour documents and photos. XL supplies provide a higher stated page yield than the standard cartridges in this family, helping reduce replacement frequency.

      Frequently asked questions

What should I know about this ink?
      • Genuine Canon ink cartridge bundle.
Which Canon printers use this ink?
      • Use the compatible Canon printer list above to open your printer’s ink page. Match the complete model number, including any letters at the end. This product uses PG-245XL / CL-246XL supplies; similar-looking cartridges and bottles from other families may not fit.
What is included in this pack?
      • 1 × PG-245XL Black; 1 × CL-246XL Tri-colour. The product type is Original (OEM). Check the number of black and colour supplies included; a black twin pack or colour-only pack does not necessarily include a complete set.
Is this original Canon, remanufactured or compatible ink?
      • This listing is for original Canon ink manufactured by Canon. Remanufactured and compatible alternatives, when available, are listed separately under Budget products in the comparison table.
How many pages can this ink print?
      • PG-245XL: up to 300 pages; CL-246XL: up to 300 pages. Declared yields are reference figures from standard printing tests. Text and photo coverage, print settings, cleaning and printing frequency affect actual results. Different colour yields should not be added together as a total page count.
What is the difference between standard and XL cartridges?
      • XL and XXL options, where supported by the printer, contain more ink than the corresponding standard cartridge. Choose an option from the same cartridge family and check its stated yield and price in the comparison table. A multipack describes the quantity supplied, rather than the capacity of each cartridge.
What does the ink volume mean?
      • PG-245XL: 12 mL; CL-246XL: 13 mL. Millilitres describe the ink quantity; page yield describes a printing-test result. They are different measurements. A tri-colour cartridge’s volume is the combined amount across its colours.
How do I install a replacement cartridge?
      • Follow your printer’s on-screen prompts and manual. Open the ink access cover, wait for the cartridge holder to stop, remove the empty cartridge and remove the new cartridge’s protective tape or cap as instructed. Avoid touching the contacts or nozzles, insert it into the correct position and complete any alignment requested by the printer.
What if the printer does not recognise the new ink?
      • Confirm the cartridge number matches the printer, check that all required protective tape or caps have been removed, and reseat the cartridge according to the manual. Read the exact error message before troubleshooting. Firmware behaviour and ink-level reporting can differ between original and third-party supplies. If the issue remains, contact us with the printer model and message.
How should I store unopened ink?
      • Keep it sealed in its original packaging, away from direct sunlight, excessive heat and freezing temperatures. Follow the storage instructions and any date printed on the packaging. Open cartridges or bottles when you are ready to use them.
Can I buy black or colour ink separately?
      • The comparison table shows the related singles and packs available for this ink family. Some third-party options are sold only as multipacks. A tri-colour cartridge contains cyan, magenta and yellow together; printers with separate ink tanks use individual colour cartridges.
Where can I find drivers and installation instructions?
      • Open your model from the compatible printer list. Its printer page includes official Canon driver and manual links. Select the operating system and documentation for your exact model on Canon’s website.
